Speaking out for the Cultural Grant

Theater Guy got to publicly comment to the Volusia County Council about the importance of arts funding and how theater shaped his life. They voted to restore the funds, yet it will be the last year the grant exists.

Aladdin arrives to Love is Love

For DeLand Pride's 2026 Love is Love event, Theater Guy made an impression. He performed an Aladdin Highlights performance during the Fairytale show. 

Theater Guy goes to the Capitol

Pride at the Capitol allowed Volusia Pride to speak to lawmakers and senators about bills that would affect the LGBTQ+ community in Florida. Theater Guy got to speak up too.

RAINBOW CINEMA CLUB TURNS 4

January 9, 2026

For four years, Rainbow Cinema Club started in Scott's living room. Then it went to the Enterprise Museum, and is now at the Volusia Pride Community Space. RCC is where a Queer film is screened, followed by a discussion about the film, teams do a trivia, prizes are given. Also, local organizations get to talk about their advocacy in the community.

Scott & Gathering Volusia

January marks the 3rd year of Scott hosting Gathering Volusia. An independently organized group of LGBTQ Latter-day Saints & those who love them in Volusia, FL. Each month, Scott invites special guests to talk about their journey being LGBTQ+ or share how they have been an ally including their advocacy. Each meeting has been impactful and lifechanging. 

Performing at Love is Love Pride Fest

Theater Guy got to perform for the city of DeLand during this special fest. He also got to read at Storytime and award the Austin Waserman Community Grant to a new recipient.

As Theater Guy finished his reign as Mr. DeLand Pride, Kirk T. DaVinci awarded him the Volusia Pride Entertainer of the Year. 

Emcee for the world Aids Gala

Watch as Theater Guy hosts the RAAO's World Aids Day Gala in DeLand. It will be a fun night where we all gather to bring awareness to HIV. Dinner and entertainment will be offered at this venue.
